An Afternoon with Mike Duggan

I would like to thank the Southeast Michigan Chamber of Commerce for hosting this series of events with Detroit Mayor and candidate for Michigan Governor, Mike Duggan. The morning started at the Andiamo Showroom in Warren and moved along to Blake’s Tasting room in Armada, MI.

Duggan addressed more than 500 guests of the chamber in the morning with his views of possibility for the state and was followed by a small crowd for Q&A in the afternoon where he was able to personally address the concerns of our business community.

As a native Detroiter I returned to the city several years ago after seeing progress, change and opportunity that was brought about by the Duggan Administration. The city has changed for the better and gained a momentum upward that even the COVID years could not halt. It has been exciting and almost unbelievable to watch the growth.

Like many Americans, I have grown frustrated and abandoned by the 2 party system. The Democrats and Republicans have lost site of their roots and I believe have lost site of what is best for the population of the country. Mike Duggan has separated from his party to run as an independent for the position of Michigan Governor, a move that cold set a powerful example for the rest of the country. Combine this with the incredible record of success in the City of Detroit, this may be a very good thing for the State of Michigan and our Nation.
